4th of July in Shiner, TX!

My brother’s wife, Becky, is from a small town in south, TX, called Shiner.  My parents and Billy’s family go down every 4th of July weekend with the kids.  My family minus Josh joined them this year (we made it last year too!) and we loved our time there.  Especially fun was the addition of my father-in-law, as well as my sister-in-law, Sarah, and her boyfriend, David whom we had never met.  Rebekah and her cousin, Riley, ran a kids’ 1 k and did so great!  Then, we enjoyed the parade, some swimming, and fireworks waaaaay too late.  We drove back this morning/afternoon and found that the weekend had ended.  Time really does fly.

High lights : spending time with family, meeting Sarah’s boyfriend, sleep overs for the kids, latest bed times ever for my kids, best bbq brisket, fireworks in the rain, swimming…

Low points: cranky kids and traffic.

I’d say it was time well spent.

We had such a fun time in Shiner and stayed in such a great bed and breakfast! Fun times with Emily and the kids as well as the Britsch family, and it was such a treat to see Mike, Sarah, and meet David! A 4 year tradition to keep going. I love all the photos!

I am love getting to keep up with you this way. The picture of Rebekah running and waving to you is precious! She even looks like a runner. Kinda like that! ;)

What a fun time you all had! Mike enjoyed seeing you so much! He mentioned LIzzie’s kisses! Rebekah and Riley are so cute running! So glad you got to meet David and see Sarah, too. Safe travels home today. I know josh is ready for you to be home. The front of the house looks awesome with the new driveway area. It really opens up the front of our house. Can’t wait to be there in a month!!
